Highly Capable Fall Referral Window

Fall Referral Window: September 21–October 9, 2026

BISD’s Highly Capable (HC) referrals are welcome during our fall window for students new to our district (since February 19, 2026) in grades 1–11. (Referrals for Kindergarten and currently enrolled BISD students will open during our spring window.)

If you’d like your student considered for HC services, please visit our BISD Highly Capable page for the timeline, program details, and the referral form.

Previously in HC/Gifted elsewhere?
Please complete the BISD referral and email documentation (e.g., assessment scores, grades, placement letters) to Drew Crandall at dcrandall@bisd303.org.

Deadline: Submit the referral (and any supporting documents, if applicable) by end of day Friday, October 9, 2026.

Ordway Spiritwear is flying off the shelves! We're excited to see your orders coming in and will keep the online shop open until Oct 16th. Click the link below to see all the new merch we have for kiddos and adults. Spiritwear orders will be distributed by the week of Nov. 9th.

Otter Trot 2026!

The Otter Trot Fundraiser is in full swing! Visit the link to our Info Night presentation for more info about Otter Trot, our annual "Move-a-Thon" fundraiser. Students can earn donations to win prizes and parties for their class and teacher! We are asking each student to set a goal of $250 but any donation amount is appreciated! See below for a link to donate and a link to an Otter Trot Fundraiser Flyer your student can print or forward to friends, family, and neighbors!
All students who earn $1 or more will be entered into a weekly raffle for a special prize so get those pledges in!

Technology Update

To support student online safety, Bainbridge Island School District has partnered with Qustodio, a leading provider of online safety solutions. While BISD Chromebooks already feature internet filtering and monitoring, we are providing every family with a free Qustodio Parental App account for additional oversight outside of school hours. Qustodio prioritizes privacy and safety - Learn more about Qustodio.
With Qustodio, you can:
Activate Your Free Account HERE www.qustodio.com/my-school using the email address on file in Family Access with the district. Splithouse holds? You can establish separate accounts. Follow the directions when signing up. 
Need help with Qustodio, please reach out to myschool@qustodio.com. BISD does not provide technical support for this tool. Note from Qustodio: Your child’s data stays protected. We collect the minimum data required and your data is securely stored. We never market to children, share or sell it to third parties. Qustodio’s platform meets FERPA and COPPA standards.

Fall Conference Signups

Fall Conferences will be held in the afternoon on October 27, 28, 29 & 30.
Conference sign ups will be open in Skyward on Monday October 12th at 3 pm. Instructions can be found HERE. Conference signups will close in Skyward on Wednesday October 21st at 3 pm. If you miss the sign up window call the main office at 206-842-7637.
