Welcome to STEM! My name is Jocelyn Jablonski. I’m so excited to be able to creatively play, experiment, and build projects with the students. My teaching experience over the last 20 years includes classroom teaching, special education, highly capable and reading interventionist. I graduated from Indiana University with my major in elementary education and a minor in special education. Years later, I received my Masters in Literacy from University of Colorado.
I’ve been so fortunate to be able to live in Washington to hike the mountains and swim in the ocean. I enjoy spending time with my husband, Chris and my son, Clay. In addition to teaching, I enjoy reading, painting, hiking, SCUBA diving, swimming, skiing, playing with my cat, Luna, and playing board games with family and friends. In addition to working in the schools and in the community, I live on this beautiful island and get to enjoy the Pacific Northwest.
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math are some of my favorite subjects and I look forward to sharing this enjoyment with my students. This year, we will be studying the world and beyond and working together by sparking curiosity, critically thinking, and experimenting with challenging engineering projects
