A FEW FUN FACTS:

• I grew up here on Bainbridge Island as a 4th generation islander. My husband's family were pioneers here.

• I was a Wilkes Whale, my husband was a Blakely Bulldog, and both our kids are Ordway Otters.

• I completed my undergrad at WSU in Elementary Education. Go Cougs!

• I taught abroad in Seoul, South Korea.

• I have a Master of Science in Elementary Literacy and Mathematics.

• I am a National Board Certified Teacher.

• Outside of school, I spend my time in my veggie patch or greenhouse, weeding my flower beds, trying to get my kids to do chores or shuttling them to horseback riding or mountain biking, on my tractor completing various projects, reading books, reading even more books, boating, baking cookies, hiking the trails with Cargo, and cooking something my kids are bound to complain about.

• Cargo is my sidekick. He is 1/2 lab and 1/2 golden retriever but 100% a mama's boy.
