Attendance Matters

Dear Ordway Families,

As we prepare for the upcoming December winter break, we want to share how grateful we are for each of you. Together we have worked to establish routines of showing up to school and create a school community for everyone.

We know the winter season is busy, and we appreciate your efforts to avoid taking extra days off around the winter break. Our teachers will be teaching, and our students will be learning right up until vacation starts and the first day back on January 5, 2026.

Every school day matters. When students are healthy and able to attend, it gives them the chance to keep learning, connect with friends, and grow both socially and academically. Your support makes such a difference in helping children feel connected and prepared. If your family or your child needs support, please reach out to Ordway School Counselor Janette Dodge, jdodge@bisd303.org for help.

Thank you for partnering with us!

Sincerely,

Ordway Staff

Toys for Tots

It's that time of year again! Ordway Otters who would like to donate a gift can bring a new unwrapped toy to the Ordway collection box just outside the main office. Last donation pick up is Thursday December 18.

New Payment Option Now Available in the Office!

We are excited to share that our school office now has a credit card machine! Families can now conveniently pay fees, fines, and—most importantly—lunch balances right at the front desk.

Keeping lunch accounts current helps our food services staff source local ingredients, and this new payment option makes it easier than ever. We encourage families to check their child’s lunch account and take care of any outstanding balance before winter break. As always, families can pay online and we still accept cash and checks, but at school credit card payments provide another quick and secure way to take care of school-related costs.

Feel free to stop by the office to make a payment or check on your child’s account balance. We are happy to help!

Lost and Found

Our Lost and Found will be donated on December 17th - the photo to the left is current as of 12/8/25. Thank you for labeling your child's clothing - this makes it easier for us to return it to you.
