PE Updates

Dear Ordway Families,

The gym is buzzing! We’ve officially kicked off the second semester, and the energy in Physical Education is high! It’s been wonderful to watch our students jump into new units and activities with excitement and a lot of heart.
What We’re Working On: From sharpening speed, agility, and coordination to mastering fundamental movement skills, our students are building more than just their fitness level—they're building confidence. We put a heavy emphasis on teamwork and cooperation, teaching students how to communicate effectively and cheer each other on through every challenge.
The Big Goal: Our mission is to keep lessons engaging and fun so that every child feels included, challenged and supported- leaving the gym with a smile and a growing appreciation for a healthy lifestyle. We work hard to find creative ways to teach new skills in a way that motivates students to participate and enjoy being active.
Above all, we want students to discover that physical activity is fun! Let’s keep that momentum going all semester long!

Sincerely,
Your Phys. Ed. Team
Amanda Bailey, Michele Shields, and Noel Strand

Attendance Updates

This spring, our schools are focusing on “Spring Into Attendance”—a positive reminder that growth happens when students show up. Each day in school helps students build skills, strengthen connections, and continue blooming academically and socially.

Just like plants need consistent care to grow, students thrive with consistent attendance. Arriving at school on time and ready to start the day is just as important, helping students begin the morning with their classmates and not miss important learning time. Showing up each day and being on time supports learning, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging.

Together, we can help our students grow, learn, and bloom this spring! 🌱
