Hello!
My name is Kate Ebenhoeh and I am so excited to be teaching second grade at Ordway!
I grew up in Sonoma, California and moved up to the Pacific Northwest in 2011 to get my Master's in Zoology from Miami University. Yes, zoology! My background is in environmental education and I have worked at the Woodland Park Zoo as well as a few zoos in California teaching kids and adults all about animals! After realizing that teaching was my true passion, I received my Master's in Teaching from Antioch University in 2019. I have been at Ordway Elementary since 2018 as a paraeducator, student teacher, and classroom teacher.
My husband and I have a daughter named Penelope and a son named Charlie. When life gives me time outside of caring for two little ones, I enjoy cooking, gardening, and exploring all that our island has to offer.
Looking forward to meeting you all soon!
