About Me

I grew up in western Montana. My mother is from Nottingham, England so I also spent a lot of time in England. In Montana, my family had a cabin on a lake where we had lots of fun, swimming, boating, and water skiing. In the winter, we enjoyed snow skiing, both cross-country and downhill. My family hiked and hung out in the mountains all the time, no matter what the season. When I was older I went to college and earned a B.A. in Education and later on when I moved to Washington, I earned a M.A. in Education from Western Washington University. I love teaching and have worked at both Sakai and Ordway on the island.

I live with my husband, Hank who is also from Montana. I have two sons, Trevor and Rory who live and work in Seattle. We are a family who likes math! My husband is a corporate banker, Trevor is a software engineer, and Rory is an accountant. Math is one of my favorite subjects. As a family, we love to travel the world. So far we have visited Canada, England, France, Holland, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Portugal, South Korea, Turkey, and Vietnam.

I consider myself very fortunate to be the owner of my cat, Agatha!
