PRINCIPAL'S NOTE

Dear Ordway Friends,

It seems hard to believe winter break is upon us! Sincere gratitude to Laura Nelson and countless parent volunteers who helped with Ordway’s Book Fair - children were thrilled to be shopping for their favorite books, as well as purchase trinket gifts for their family members. All proceeds help us buy library books, an area that was reduced in this year's budget.

I also want to recognize parents who have reached out with questions and concerns about the current budget deficit and resulting school closure proposals. Hopefully you will be able to attend or participate via Zoom in the meetings offered this week (dates and times provided below.)

Wishing everyone a peaceful break with family and friends.

Best,

Debra

FROM THE ORDWAY OFFICE - RAINGEAR CHANGE OF CLOTHES

Check the lost and found ! -  All unclaimed items will be Donated on December 14

Please label sweatshirts and jackets. Our lost and found is full already and we’d love to be able to reconnect your child with their misplaced gear. Sharpies are a great option as are purchased clothing stickers from online vendors. Save yourself time and money and label their gear.

Remember to send rain gear and change of clothes with your child
Please send your child to school with appropriate shoes, rain gear and a change in clothes in the event they get too wet at recess. We have a limited supply of clothing in the nurses office.  Help keep your child dry and warm throughout the day by sending them to school prepared.
